The whole area is a bit difficult to explore. Mostly because there are not that many developments going on in the area. Most likely Its dry and rocky land takes a lot more effort to build, and water supply, especially to fill up the pool, is not easy to find. Trip from the airport to the villas in Uluwatu can be exhausting 40-50 minutes through halfly developed narrow road, dusty in the dry and muddy in the wet season. Worse for those arriving from a long haul flight.
But the suffer is definitely paid off when you get into the villas. Luxury holiday homes with stunning ocean views opening out to the ocean enjoyable from basically every corner of the house. There are no cheap villas in the area. Mainly because only those who prepare to spend unlimited efforts and money will get into the area, secondly, the views are just too luxurious.
Those who could not afford another bumpy ride after exhaustive flight can enjoy airport transfer by helicopter landing at the backyard of the villas. A few villas provide the service as a compliment (certain conditions apply).
